How Viking Are You · Global terms

Terms of Service

These terms govern the How Viking Are You storytelling experience and purchases of a Complete Viking Saga.

Last updated 18 August 2026

1. Who provides the service

How Viking Are You is provided by Fatherhood AS, Norwegian organisation number 998 472 768 MVA. Product and access support: support@howvikingareyou.com.

2. Eligibility and use

You may use the interactive story for personal, lawful purposes. A purchaser must be at least 18 years old or have valid permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for using the service in a way that does not infringe another person’s rights.

3. What How Viking Are You provides

The service is an interactive historical storytelling and self-reflection experience. Your choices produce a Viking Portrait. Where available, a one-time purchase unlocks your Complete Viking Saga.

The experience is digital. No physical product, PDF, subscription or automatic renewal is included unless a checkout page clearly says otherwise.

4. Personalised and generated content

Your portrait and saga are assembled from recurring patterns in your choices using a structured story system. They are editorial interpretations, not objective findings about your identity.

Names, scenes, archetypes and narrative details may be fictionalised. You must not treat the content as medical, psychological, employment, financial, ancestry or other professional advice.

5. Purchases, prices, currencies and taxes

A Complete Viking Saga is sold as a one-time digital purchase. Norway is NOK 249 including 25% VAT. The United States and other USD markets are USD 24. Fixed international prices are EUR 24, GBP 19, SEK 249, DKK 179, CAD 34 and AUD 39. Applicable tax is handled as shown before payment.

The final currency, tax and total shown in Stripe or Link before you confirm payment govern the transaction. Server-side product configuration controls the price; the browser cannot select a different price or product.

6. Checkout and payment processing

Stripe processes checkout and payment. For eligible international transactions, Stripe or Link may act as merchant of record through Managed Payments. Their own terms and privacy information also apply to payment processing.

Access is created only after payment has been verified on the server with Stripe. A browser redirect by itself is not proof of payment. We do not receive your full card details.

7. Delivery and access

Digital delivery begins after verified payment. Your Complete Viking Saga opens through a private, reusable link. Payment verification or a short technical delay may occur before access is ready.

We intend the private link to remain reusable, but we do not promise lifetime hosting or uninterrupted access.

8. Private result and saga links

Anyone who has a private result or saga link can open the associated content. Keep it confidential and do not send the access token to support.

We may revoke or restrict access after a full refund, payment dispute, misuse, security incident or legal requirement. You can intentionally create a separate public share where that feature is offered.

9. Refunds and consumer rights

Refunds are handled under the policy and mandatory rights that apply to the transaction. Because you request immediate delivery of digital content, a statutory withdrawal right may be reduced or lost where local law permits this after express consent.

Contact support for duplicate charges, missing delivery, inaccessible purchased content or content that materially does not conform to the agreement. Approved refunds return through the relevant payment channel; a full refund revokes premium access.

Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in the country where you live.

10. Intellectual property

The service, artwork, software, editorial system and content are owned by us or our licensors. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-commercial right to view and enjoy your own result and saga.

You may share the shareable material provided for your result. You may not resell, scrape, systematically copy, republish or use the service or its content to create a competing product.

11. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, probe private links, automate abusive requests, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person or use the service unlawfully.

12. Availability, changes and interruptions

We may maintain, secure, correct or improve the service and may suspend parts of it when reasonably necessary. Technical interruptions can occur.

The terms and consent version accepted at purchase remain part of that purchase. We do not silently replace the stored purchased content merely because the service later changes.

13. Product disclaimers

How Viking Are You is provided for storytelling, entertainment and self-reflection. It is not a clinical personality test, psychological diagnosis, ancestry test or factual statement about your past or heritage.

Historical material gives the fictional experience texture and perspective; it does not guarantee that every narrative detail applies equally across every place or year of the Viking Age.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss arising from personal reliance on an entertainment result, loss caused by sharing a private link, or interruptions outside our reasonable control.

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains unaffected. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or another liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

15. Applicable law

Norwegian law governs the service relationship to the extent permitted. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection or dispute rights available in the country where you live.

16. Regional and mandatory rights

EEA and UK consumers may have mandatory rights for digital content, including conformity, remedies and statutory withdrawal rules. United States rights and remedies may vary by state. Consumers elsewhere retain any mandatory local rights.

If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a non-waivable local rule, that local rule prevails only to the extent of the conflict.

17. Contact

Contact support@howvikingareyou.com first so we can investigate a product, access or purchase issue. For payment, receipt or Managed Payments support, the Stripe or Link receipt may provide an additional transaction-support channel.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service, law or providers change. The current version applies prospectively from its stated update date; it does not retroactively replace the terms stored with an earlier purchase.
